The operating methods of a concrete mixer truck must strictly follow standard procedures to ensure driving safety, concrete quality, and equipment longevity. According to the latest and authoritative published information as of April 2026, the key operating points are as follows:

Pre-Startup Preparation
Comprehensive Vehicle Inspection: Including tire pressure, braking system, lights and signals, mixer drum seals, hydraulic system for leaks, and chassis U-bolt tightness, etc.

Control Lever Positioning: Set the mixer drum control handle to the "Neutral" or "Stop" position.

Adjusting the Driver's Seat: Fasten the seat belt, adjust the seat and mirrors, ensuring a clear view.

Startup and Warm-Up
Insert the key, turn on the power, and wait for the vehicle's self-check to complete.
Start the engine and let it idle for 5–10 minutes until the water and oil temperatures reach normal ranges (hydraulic oil temperature is recommended to reach above 20°C).
If parked outdoors, reverse the mixer drum to discharge accumulated water and debris inside the drum to prevent affecting concrete quality.

Loading Phase
Move the control handle to the "Load" position; the mixer drum begins to rotate forward (usually 2–6 rpm).
Control the loading amount to avoid overloading and strictly prohibit foreign objects from entering.

Transportation Process
Mixer Drum Speed
Flat Roads: 2–3 rpm
Uneven or Sloped Roads: 4–6 rpm (adjust according to road conditions to prevent segregation)

Vehicle Speed Control
Urban Roads: ≤ 15 km/h
Highways: ≤ 40 km/h; sudden braking and sharp turns are prohibited
Engine Speed: Maintain at 1000–1400 rpm to provide sufficient torque.

Discharge Chute Fixing: Must be locked in the "Travel" position to prevent swinging that could harm people or affect other vehicles.

Discharging Operation
Parking: Choose flat, solid ground, engage the handbrake, and ensure vehicle stability.

Pre-Discharge Preparation: Adjust the mixer drum speed to 10–12 rpm, rotate forward for 1 minute to make the concrete uniform.

Start Discharging: Switch to the "Discharge" position, reverse the mixer drum, slowly open the discharge outlet, and control the flow rate.

Post-Discharge Cleaning
Inject 150–200L of clean water into the mixer drum, rotate at low speed to clean the inner wall;
Rinse the feed hopper, discharge chute, roller supports, and other parts;
Dispose of the cleaning water to keep the equipment clean.
