Concrete pump truck (commonly referred to as 'concrete pump truck') is a special engineering vehicle that uses pressure to continuously transport concrete through pipelines to the construction site, widely used in high-rise buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other projects.

 

Power Transmission
The engine transmits power to the hydraulic pump group through a transfer case, generating high-pressure oil to drive the main cylinder and the distribution valve system.

 

Piston Reciprocating Motion
Using a double-cylinder piston structure (the main cylinder drives the concrete cylinder piston).
When one cylinder retracts, it sucks concrete from the hopper; when the other cylinder advances, it pushes concrete into the delivery pipeline.
Through a reversing mechanism (such as tank-triggered or electronic control), the two cylinders alternately operate, forming continuous pumping.

 

Distribution Valve Switching (Key Role of S Valve)
The S valve (swing valve) swings left and right under the drive of the swing cylinder, alternately connecting the two concrete cylinders with the delivery pipeline.
The suction cylinder connects to the hopper, and the discharge cylinder connects to the delivery pipeline, ensuring continuous output without interruption.

 

Placing and Pouring
Concrete enters the telescopic, foldable boom system (usually 3–5 sections of box-shaped boom) via the delivery pipeline.
The boom can rotate, tilt, and fold under hydraulic control, with a maximum placing height reaching over 60 meters (for example, the XCMG 72-meter pump truck has been used for pouring at a 480-meter-high building).
